Let's Do Lunch by Roger Troy Wilson

Wilson tells of his weight loss journey and success that began in 1988 by eating fresh and frozen grapes for his evening snacks. He soon discovered his body craved the natural sugars rather than the processed foods he had always gorged himself with never achieving a hunger satisfaction. Letting his body discover then dictate his new and healthier cravings and thus hunger satisfaction, he lost over 290 pounds and maintains to date a very trim weight. Claiming this is not a fruit diet, but a plan to eat all the best-tasting and least fattening foods desired, the plans allows for a fruity and healthy breakfast, proteins (meat and veggies for lunch), and light and healthy supper, ending with plentious fruit for evening snacks. The main meal is the noon meal, and therefore the title, Let's Do Lunch..

The books is fast-reading and contains words of encouragement from other successful dieters who follow the Let's Do Lunch plan. A 14-day menu and recipes for some of Wilson's favorite meals are included. Another diet book, yes. But, Wilson does not claim this is "new" or "better", it is his testimony of weight loss, a description of the self-discovery eating plan that works for him, and encouragement for others. On page 5, Wilson writes, "All praise, glory, and honor to our heavenly Father and Jesus in heaven! This man not only lost weight, he gained health!" However, this is not a dieter's prayer or devotional book.
